Tasks:

• Evaluate insurance applications to determine risks and determine whether to approve, modify or reject them
• Determine premiums and policy terms based on risk analysis and established guidelines
• Collaborate with other professionals such as actuaries and claims adjusters to identify risk factors and develop solutions
• Analyze financial and statistical data to determine insurance risks and identify trends
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices
• Communicate risk assessments and decisions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Underwriter or similar role
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of underwriting principles, policies, and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
